fishing nets. You would be right!
We were in historic Fishtown.
Fishtown is an area of Leland where the commerical fishing was conducted one hundred years ago. Now the area is busy with shops and galleries. Charter fishing boats still leave from these docks and the only ferry to the Manitou Islands departs from these docks. It was a very interesting part of Leland that we enjoyed exploring.
Here is D enjoying Fishtown.
Every time we rode our bikes to town, about 8 miles, we would lean our bikes against this tree while we wandered around. It was huge. I can't even guess how old it must have been.
All in all we really enjoyed the time we spent in Fishtown and Leland.

I love Fishtown!
that looks like a fun place
it's fun but small. you saw pretty much all of it.
I've been there before. We have friends in who live in Sutton's Bay. They took us once. It was very interesting. However, there are not many restrooms and I was pregnant with Anna at the time. Not a good combination.
Is that a picture of D's red bike? Nice.
