Well, not as shocking as the title might lead you to believe but surprising none the less. Let's just say two days ago Paula was pointing to the heavens and tonight her mouth was on the floor.
First let me say I correctly predicted two of the bottom three. My picks were Carly, Syesha & Brooke. The actual bottom three were Carly, Syesha & Michael Johns. I was feeling pretty good about my prediction of Carly going home and Carly was looking resigned to her fate. And then the unthinkable happened. Michael Johns was voted off! How could this happen? I never thought he could win the whole thing but I thought he would have at least outlasted Kristy. The curse of performing first had reared its ugly head again.
So let me leave you with Michael's farewell performance from tonight. Dream on, Michael.

I'm not totally shocked, since I never saw him winning the Idol title, but I was definitely surprised at the timing. I thought, for sure, Brooke White deserved to go home after that ridiculously boring performance last week and the several "eh" ones before that.
The timing surprised me too. David Cook was definately going to take the rocker votes but to be beaten by some of those girls?!
Brooke needs to step up her game or she will be next.
