Technically she is a hunting dog. Dashhunds were used in Germany for hunting badgers. They were trained to go into the holes after them. She is a digger and at night likes to burrow under the blankets to sleep.
I have to give her some slack. She spent the first 3 to 5 years of her life (not sure how old she is) at a puppy mill. I am sure she was confined to a kennel her whole life and so was forced to go where she lived. She'll learn.

Uh-oh!. It's better than eating the screen, right?
you offered-ill take her!
but only after you clean the two spots i still cant get out of my carpet from her last visit.
Put her outside in a kennel, that will teach her.
dogs don't belong outside unless they are hunting dogs. you've gotta live with the pets.

But now she is an inside dog for better or worse.
Daschunds are a pretty good hunting dog. But I was pretty sure it was a house dog.
