every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end

Another year is over and another is set to begin. Yes, it is Closing Time.

Have you made any resolutions? I am not that big on such things. I find they are generally so vague that keeping them is impossible. Eat healthier, exercise more. Just what does that mean?

That isn't to say that I don't make them. I do have two resolutions for the new year. I do want to eat healthier. That means for me eating at least one piece of fruit every day. That is going to be hard because I really don't like fruit all that much. I would much rather have a plate of potatoes or some steamed broccoli. But fruit it is for this year. The hardest part will be remembering to do it.

Second exercise more. I kept track of every day that I walked this year. If I calculated right, I walked 151 days. I walk about 4 miles so that means I walked 604 miles. That doesn't include the walk I take Jo on most days of the week or my biking miles. I am not sure if I should be impressed or not. This year my goal will be to walk more than 604 miles. That sounds reasonable and doable.

So that's it for me. Eat more fruit and put more miles on my feet this year. I think I can do it. What about you? Have you set any goals for yourself? If you have good luck and if you haven't, you still have time.

I don't do resolutions either. A little more weight to lose. That's it. BTW - I love fruit. Mangoes, berries of all kinds. A serving is usually a cup -- I think you can do that.
