I'm back in business, people. I don't know what happened or why it is working but I have my nice big pictures back. Thank you, Photobucket. Now on to the business at hand.
We had made our way to Coleman and were ready for the Throwdown. Here is my not that much younger sister getting ready. I'm not sure if she is working on her own entry or on Katie's.
Isn't there a saying about too many cooks in the kitchen?
More last minute preparations.
Here are two of the entries. I didn't know at the time but they would end up to be the winner and second place recipes.
Look at these little beauties. I can't help it if the rest of you didn't think out of the box, or bowl, for your entries. These were perfectly legal and almost propelled me into first place.
I would have won first place but for this person who came to the table with his vote already decided. In fact, I would have gotten his vote but for the cuteness of a certain eight-year old who shall go nameless. Oh no, I'm not bitter. I lost the Key Lime contest to a recipe I had seriously considered bringing and now this because a vote had been cast before the actual tasting. Oh no, I'm not bitter.
Let the tasting begin!
Then it was time to vote.
I thought all of the soups were excellent. I will be making most if not all at some future date. But, alas, there can only be one winner. And that winner was.....
Congratulations, K! See you at the next Throwdown. I am thinking and planning already.

Cheater.
If it hadn't been for those 6 other entries I would have won.
Darn it.
At least I came in third!
Didn't we all come in third other than Aunt C and Katie?
i was going to say that but decided to let them have their illusions.
