She's Stylin'

Cory stayed with us on his way back to Philly and he brought Jo's last Christmas gift of the season. Sarah is such a thoughtful sister that she worries about Jo getting cold during her daily walk. So this was what arrived on Saturday night with Cory.

Do you know what Cory brought? Look. Now can you tell?

It was a cold, raining, and somewhat sleeting today so I thought it would be a good test of her new coat. Now I had tried putting it on her the other day just for her visit outside and it hadn't gone well. She sat and refused to move until I took it off. I decided that if I put it on her for her walk she would be so excited about walking that she would forget she was wearing a coat. So today was the day and this was the result.

Yes, she again sat and refused to move. I tried to get her to move but she was having none of that nonsense. So I took it off and thought our walk would go on as it usually does. She still refused to move and insisted on going back into the house. We had made it as far as the end of the driveway. It was cold and there was ice on the ground so maybe that was her issue today. I think I will start putting her coat on in the house so she gets used to it and try again at a later date. She is going to be the most fashionable dog in the neighborhood. Thank you, Sarah.

Despite all of that I walked my four miles anyway. By the time I got back my coat was covered in ice.

After coming back in the house and looking out of the window maybe Jo had the right idea after all.

Dogs in sweaters always cracked me up. We used to have one or two for that little poodle that everyone just loves so much...

Ahh..not me. I'll take a beagle any day they are tough and don't need an overcoat to go outside.

I'll give the dog credit for being smart enough to know a coat ain't cool! She doesn't want to be the laughing stock of the neighborhood, sister!
